REMEMBER "THE CHICKEN COOP" ? WE HAVE A RECIPE YOU HAVE TO TRY!
It has been more than 20 years since "The Chicken Coop" closed in Hartford, CT. Located on Asylum Street near Union Station, the "Coop" was known for its near legendary Fried Chicken and Onion Rings. The owners also had a location in Bridgeport and New Britain, CT.
There continues to be buzz on the internet about this Connecticut business, especially, inquiries as to the "secret sauce" that was their batter that made the Chicken and Rings so unique. We have a recipe that was offered as compatible. It is not exact but is certifiably "great".
